Virtually all of the headline grabbing convoy scares were false: arson, Russia, guns, far-right American funding, Terry Fox statue desecration, violence. And yet the hatred for the convoy and its organizers grows like a pulsing tumour in the brains of our fellow citizens — many of them denizens of our capital city. We live in a country where it is easier to believe that churches were mass murdering innocent indigenous children than to think critically about what might have actually happened.

CDC Now Refusing New COVID Vaccine Adverse Event Reports in Its V-Safe Program

Based on VAERS and previous V-safe findings, adverse events from mRNA shots in the USA alone could be considered a humanitarian crisis.
Despite those alarming clinical findings, the CDC has concluded that collecting new safety reports is somehow no longer in the interest of America’s public health. Existing data from the V-safe site showed around 6.5 million adverse events/health impacts out of 10.1 million users, with around 2 million of those people unable to conduct normal activities of daily living or needing medical care, according to a third-party rendering of its findings.

Owning a home used to be the most important investment a Canadian could make, but unfortunately, it’s only a dream for many now.
The housing crisis continues to worsen, and politicians don’t seem to really care. In fact, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau assured Canadians that housing is not a federal issue. Whether it’s reducing immigration levels or cutting unnecessary red tape, there are ample ways the government can improve the housing situation in Canada.
As the crisis worsens, some Canadians are even resorting to living in their cars – and trying to convince others that it’s a great lifestyle. What is happening?

The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, also known as the Charter, lays out every Canadian's fundamental rights and freedoms.
They include freedom of conscience, religion, thought, belief, opinion and expression, freedom of the press, and other media communication, freedom of peaceful assembly and of association. Unless it can be demonstrably justified in a free and democratic society, these rights are protected by law, and governments cannot breach them.
Governments cannot override these rights without strong proof that it is necessary — this is why the work of organizations such as the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms (JCCF) are so important.
Politicizing the Canadian Judiciary

"The rule of law depends upon respect for the courts. That respect cannot be maintained if the courts are seen as reflecting only one point of view."
Israel is currently locked in an intense struggle between conservatives and progressives over the Netanyahu government’s judicial reform plans.
As it now stands, the top court can strike down any law that it considers to be “unreasonable.” Those judges are all progressives. What they consider “unreasonable” can seem perfectly reasonable to conservative legislators. The result is that the high court can strike down the very laws Israelis elected representatives to pass. President Benjamin Netanyahu believes that unless he succeeds in changing what he sees as judicial autocracy, the roughly half the country who are conservatives will never be able to effectively govern—whether or not they form the government.
We don’t have that “reasonableness” clause in Canada, but, as the National Post series about judges donating to the Liberal Party highlights, we are well on our way to a politicized court that does not represent the roughly half the country that is conservative.
Taxes versus the Necessities of Life: The Canadian Consumer Tax Index 2023 edition

- Taxes have grown much more rapidly than any other single expenditure for the average Canadian family: expenditures on shelter increased by 1,880%, food by 870%, and clothing by 654% from 1961 to 2022.
- The 2,778% increase in the tax bill has also greatly outpaced the increase in the Consumer Price Index (863%), which measures the average price that consumers pay for food, shelter, clothing, transportation, health and personal care, education, and other items.
- The average Canadian family now spends more of its income on taxes (45.3%) than it does on basic necessities such as food, shelter, and clothing combined (35.6%). By comparison, 33.5% of the average family’s income went to pay taxes in 1961 while 56.5% went to basic necessities.
- In 2022, the average Canadian family earned an income of $106,430 and paid total taxes equaling $48,199 (45.3%). In 1961, the average family had an income of $5,000 and paid a total tax bill of $1,675 (33.5%).

In the last few weeks, the Conservatives have been surging in the polls, gaining support in almost every demographic and region in Canada. In fact, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s approval rating hasn’t been this low since he first became prime minister in 2015.
As a result, the Liberals have tried everything to stop Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre’s momentum, including accusing those who oppose carbon taxes of being “arsonists” and labeling everything and anything as “far-right.” Are the Trudeau Liberals getting desperate?
